Great stuff, Foster. Your randomized regional NPR trick got me thinking about Radio Garden, which I used to love for similar reasons, but haven't used in a while. Have you ever checked that out? It's still going! https://radio.garden/?r=1

This is awesome. I just fired it up and went right to your neck of the woods, and ended up listening to IB3 Radio, Evissa i Formentera 93.7, and heard this little ditty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmz3OIk6MXE

Also, for anyone reading this, Philip's newsletter is amazing, and he's been on a tear lately. One of the more recent ones is about a small electronic festival in NJ that is an absolute wild ride of an interview, and involves LARP and some good old fashioned bribery:

Really hoping Pantelleria doesn’t blow up after that NYT article. As Ms Gambaccini aptly said in her insta post detailing her adventures with that NYT writer (who wrote a great piece nonetheless) - its a “beautifully fucked up place, wind-slapped and heat-stroked” perfect for people who want to disappear for a little while, with a few of the people you love, eating what’s there and swimming alone. Sicily isn’t a parco giochi!!
